Big Brother UK’s Nikki Grahame Dies at 38 After Long Battle with Anorexia

Nikki Grahame, a reality star who was well-known in the UK for her appearances on Big Brother, has sadly passed away at the young age of 38.

The Big Brother UK contestant died after struggling with anorexia for years.

Nikki‘s friends launched a GoFundMe page on March 10 to get her treatment in a specialist clinic as she was “in a very bad way.” Sadly, they shared an update that she died on April 9.

“It is with great sadness, we have to let you know that our dear friend Nikki passed away in the early hours of Friday 9th April. It breaks our hearts to know that someone who is so precious was taken from us at such a young age. Nikki not only touched the lives of millions of people, but also her friends and family who will miss her immensely,” the statement read.

All of the donations to the GoFundMe page will be contributed to an organization that is being established for those suffering from anorexia. Refunds are also being given to anyone who wishes to receive one.

Nikki came in fifth place on Big Brother UK in 2006 and then she starred in her own reality series, Princess Nikki. She later returned for Ultimate Big Brother in 2010 and came in second place and then appeared as a guest housemate on season 16 of Big Brother UK. She crossed the pond years later to compete on Canada’s Big Brother, in which she placed sixth.

Nikki talked about her struggles with the eating disorder in her books “Dying to Be Thin” in 2009 and “Fragile” in 2012.

We’re sending our thoughts and condolences to Nikki‘s loved ones during this difficult time.
